The Cooperation Functions between IACS and Infection Control Management

In the manufacturing industry, infection control of employees is one of the business risks, and management measures are taken. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan has also announced measures to prevent infection in the workplace and is calling on companies to comply. Since the measures are published as a checklist, the implementation can be confirmed in the daily safety and health activities of the company. However, human checks take some efforts and human mistakes. On the other hand, the current Industrial Automation Control System (IACS) monitors the field environment and employee status, so many items on the checklist can be measured and recorded. This paper considers cooperation functions of IACS to infection control checklist, and discusses the possibility that infection control will be a new functional category of IACS.
