Interface and data aggregation for modeling electric power systems with sector coupling technologies

This paper explains the interface and data aggregation methods used for modeling electrical power grids featuring sector coupling technologies within the realm of the state-space-representation. It outlines the creation of node-specific load profiles in medium voltage distribution networks, which integrate the power contribution of sector coupling technologies. Additionally, an approach of modeling mixed-type cable routes is presented, which aims to minimize the system-matrices’ size, thus reducing the computational requirements of the load flow calculation.
