Resilient Inventory Control of Supply Chain Networks in Risky Shared Information Environments

This paper focuses on resilient inventory control for a class of supply chain (SC) networks against the bullwhip effect and the risky shared information. First, given the openness in SC operations, the risk shared information is incorporated into an inventory deviation benchmark model, potentially presenting merits in enhancing SC dynamic features besides the bullwhip effect. For this purpose, a new resilient control mechanism is thus proposed, where “resilient” refers to the presence of uncertainty in orders, and the acceptance of inaccurate inventory information during some review periods. Then, some sufficient conditions are offered to design the desired resilient inventory controller, with the aim of stabilizing the controlled inventory system. Finally, in different risk level environments, two case studies examine the effectiveness of the proposed methods for controlling the bullwhip effect.
