Load frequency control of the two regions interconnected power system with wind and photovoltaic based on improved differential evolution algorithm

This paper focuses on the load frequency problem of the two regions interconnected power system with wind and photovoltaic. First, the filter coefficient is introduced into the PID control structure to control the load frequency of the power system. Then an improved differential evolutionary algorithm (IDE) is proposed to tune the PID controller parameters. Finally, numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness and the merits of the IDE algorithm proposed in this paper.
