High senstivity temperature sensor based on an acrylate coated no core fiber structure

A high sensitivity temperature sensor based on an acrylate coated singlemode fiber-no core fiber-singlemode fiber structure (AC-SNCS) is reported. Sensor samples with different coating lengths are investigated. It is found that sensor's temperature sensitivity increases with coating length at first, and then it becomes relatively stable after a certain length of coating. The highest temperature sensitivity of
$5.81\text{nm}/^{\circ}\mathrm{C}$
was experimentally achieved when the coating length was
$\sim 6\mathbf{mm}$
