Efficient simulation of 5G mobile base station antennas for RF safety analysis

Existing fourth-generation (4G) cellular networks are currently being expanded with the deployment of fifth-generation (5G) technology. The introduction and use of higher frequency ranges in these deployments, e.g. millimetre wavebands, contributes to a significant increase in the number of mobile base stations. The primary benefits of 5G networks include increased data connections and improved service quality. Central to delivering these improvements to users is that 5G networks make use of advanced technologies, such as massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna arrays.
