Doppler echo construction method of wide-band moving target in sonar

Theoretical detection efficiency analysis and actual detection effectiveness evaluation of active sonar are closely related to the Doppler phenomenon of the target echo. The commonly used sonar echo construction method based on narrowband ambiguity function model only considers the frequency shift of the signal and ignores the broadening of the echo signal in time domain, resulting in large errors between the simulated signal and the actual signal. In this paper, a wideband Doppler echo construction method for moving targets is proposed. The Doppler phenomenon of HFM wideband signal is theoretically deduced and simulated from the frequency shift of the signal in the frequency domain to the compression in the time domain. The results show that this method can truly simulate the Doppler phenomenon of HFM wideband signal, which have strong reference value to analyze the theoretical detection efficiency of active sonar, the actual detection performance evaluation and waveform design.
