Southeastern Anatolia Development Project

This paper describes a vectorial formalism useful for studying polyphase systems. For this purpose, mathematical tools such as the concepts of barycenter, linear application and kernel are introduced. This formalism generalizes the space vector theory (SVT). A two-level three-leg voltage-source inverter (23VSI) is studied to demonstrate this property. A graphic representation of the homopolar component is also presented.
