EMI behavior of FPGA-IP measurement

This study proposes a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) electromagnetic interference (EMI) measurement platform for obtaining the EMI leakage behaviors when different modules or IPs are designed in it. We should carefully regard the EMI leakage issue as the FPGA development advances. This measurement platform can observe the EMI of the time and frequency domains of an FPGA with different intellectual property (IP) modules. We program, measure, observe, and compare the EMI behaviors of different FPGA modules and IPs herein. The measurement result shows that the greatest EMI difference is observed between the blank and PLL modules, with a value of 121 dBuV on 469 MHz.
