Drones neutralized by utilize electromagnetic pulse (EMP) system

The goal of this study is to develop a drones neutralized system based on the theory of high-power microwave (HPM) systems, where the directed electromagnetic pulse (EMP) system is used to damage the electronic parts of commercial unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) as well as a prototype design for a high-power circularly polarized directive antenna. The concept was investigated through literature research, and the EMP system design was checked. The proposed EMP model is consisted from the high-power microwave transmitter circuit and waveguide and EMP antenna. In this work a Helical Array Antenna has been utilized as EMP antenna. The model has been simulated first then constructed for real test. For test we have checked EMP for several distance and determine its strength for range from lm up to 10m. The results shows that the generated EMP is high in all these distances and can be used for drone neutralization. The last test is to eliminate the flying commercial drone. The system succusses to dropdown drone and after analyses the drone we verified that the drone circuit was subject to damage by EMP.
