Study on the Interception Effectiveness of Lightning Rod by Cloud-to-Ground Lightning Model

In view of the current situation that it is difficult to quantitatively evaluate the protection efficiency of the traditional lightning rod protection efficiency evaluation method, the propagation of lightning is simulated based on the charge simulation method and cloud-to-ground lightning model to realize the quantitative calculation of the interception efficiency of lightning rod. And the general rule of lightning rod effectiveness is analyzed with the help of the cloud-to-ground lightning model. The results show that, the cloud-to-ground lightning model can reasonably evaluate the effectiveness of lightning rod, and the lightning rod has better interception efficiency for lightning with high current.
