Design of S-band frequency selective surface based on multi screen structure

In this paper, two kinds of band stop frequency selective units with S-band transmission are designed, one with X-band cut-off and the other with Ku-band cut-off. The stopband bandwidth is widened by the combination of the two elements. The frequency selective surfaces (FSS) are analysed and calculated by utilizing the spectral-domain approach. In the transmission band, the transmission coefficient in dual polarization is less than 1dB. The average transmittance of the combination unit is less than -40dB in X and Ku cut-off bands, which can provide guarantee of wide-band stealth for radar system in X-band and Ku-band.
