Accurate Simulation Methodology of RSE (Radiated Spurious Emission) on Electronic Device

This paper presents a method of simulating the non-linear behavior on electronic device, aiming at studying the typical RSE (radiated spurious emission) problems due to non-linear characteristic of electrical connection. The non-linear behavior on a metal-metal contact could be influenced by many factors, such as contact metal types, pressure, fundamental power and aging effects. We propose a RSE simulation workflow and analyzed the factors of nonlinear behavior using the clip and foam gasket. Furthermore, we find the good correlation of simulation and measurement results, confirming the validity of this method.
