Equivalent Circuit Modeling for Capacitance Determination of Resonant Reactive Magnetic Shield in Wireless Power Transfer

An equivalent circuit model (ECM) for capacitance determination of resonant reactive shielding (RRS) coil in magnetic resonant wireless power transfer (MR-WPT) system is proposed in this paper. The magnetic coupling between RRS coil and the transmitting (Tx) coil of a MR-WPT system is analyzed using the proposed ECM. The relationship between the compensative capacitance of RRS coil and the resonant capacitance of Tx coil is deduced and validated using full wave simulation.
