On the Study of a Low Profile Triple-Band Meander Line Antenna for Wireless Applications

In this paper, a compact microstrip meander line antenna has been presented with a size of 36×30×1. 524mm

. The proposed antenna resonates at three different frequency bands which include 4.48-4. 529 GHz radio communications, 5. 037-5. 098 GHz Wi-Fi applications, and 5. 821-5. 876 GHz WLAN applications. The antenna geometry comprises of a well-built vertically and horizontally coupled slotted structure at the trace plane with a continuous reference ground plane to achieve the desired applications bandwidths. The proposed design has demonstrated a satisfactory antenna return loss, gain, along with directional radiation patterns in both fields at all three frequency points thus making itself suitable for various wireless applications.
