Compact and Low-Profile Dual-Polarized Reconfigurable Antenna for IoT Applications

In this paper, a dual polarized reconfigurable antenna for IoT applications is presented. The antenna can provide both vertically and horizontally polarized radiation thanks to the integration in the same structure of a segmented loop antenna and a wire-patch element. The compact and low-profile antenna structure, as well as the easy-to-control reconfiguration mechanism make the proposed antenna suitable for IoT applications.
