Reflectarray Power Handling Capability Analysis

The work surveys power breakdown effects that are relevant for reflectarray antennas used for wireless power transfer and proposes methodologies to analyze a reflectarray design for them. The effects the paper considers are the multipactor effect and electrical breakdown ionization effect of air (i.e. the corona discharge). These effects are analyzed using the commercial solver SPARK3D for a reflectarray unit cell using a split-ring resonator. The paper also presents a flux analysis to translate the unit cell results to the output feed power.
