Full Azimuth Beam Steering by Means of Radiation Pattern with the Narrow Beamwidth

In this paper, it is attempted to illustrate a procedure in generating and steering the radiation pattern with a narrow beamwidth, roughly seven degrees. The proposed structure includes 64 radiating elements surrounding a cylinder. Each time, every 16 elements are placed in the active section and engender the required pattern leading to full beam steering in the azimuth plane. The feeding network and the excitation coefficients are presented and discussed.
