MmWave channel propagation modeling in 5G high-dense wireless networks

In a near future perspective, fully connected ubiquitous smart environments will involve numerous wireless communication systems operating simultaneously in heterogeneous networks. This paradigm will require fast, reliable, and secure user services and applications, accessible anytime and anyplace, regardless the devices, networks, or systems they use. For that purpose, adequate, efficient, and effective millimeter wave channel propagation modeling for 5G high-node scenarios is pivotal, in order to prevent communication limitations such as coverage, capacity, or channel interferences due to channel restrictions at these frequency bands. In this work, the densification impact characterization of 5G FR2 communication systems operating in an indoor complex heterogeneous environment is analyzed, by means of deterministic simulation techniques and empirical validation. These results and the proposed simulation methodology can lead in an adequate millimeter wave channel characterization, which provide suitable information for the overall network performance in complex heterogeneous high-node context-aware environments.
