Scale-model based MIMO Shannon capacity estimation using visible light

There are two approaches to estimate MIMO channel capacity on wireless communication systems: simulation and experiment. As a novel experimental approach, we propose a MIMO capacity estimation method based on a scale model using visible light, which is a further extension of the method for estimating radio wave propagation characteristics. In this paper, we have actually conducted experiments using a system configuration that scales target environment by 1/20 and consist a laser and cameras. Also, we clarify the effectiveness of the proposed method from the results.
