Activity Oriented Malicious Node Identification for Packet Drop Attack in WSN

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have become increasingly popular in various areas. Attacks on WSN can occur in a variety of ways depending on the type of harmful behaviour. Determining the position of rogue nodes with the use of requests and responses from each node can be learnt from this analysis. A malicious node prevents packets from being routed to other nodes. They truly impersonate themselves and their place. Packet dropping is a sort of Denial of Service (DOS) attack that involves discarding packets and disconnecting them from their destinations to improve route quality. In this proposed work, the major aspect is to identify a fake node in the organization. By utilizing normal circumstances, an assault and a malevolent hub in the organization can be distinguished. A feasible security architecture for the WSN is proposed to detect malicious activities by calculating the packet drop and throughput values using legitimate nodes. It is based on the node's request-response, which interacts with characteristics at different tiers of the protocol stack and monitors and analyses anomalous patterns, warning them so that their harmful activities are not broadcast over the network.
