Microcontroller based Mosquito Prevention and Elimination on Water Body by Integrated Subsystems

Mosquitoes are the primary host for a variety of animal borne diseases that spread by the bite of an infected mosquito. Every year, more people die as a result of mosquito bites than as a result of war’s consequences. Mosquitoes transmit diseases to humans and infect humans with such ailments. There are chemical methods which can lower the mosquito populations in our neighborhoods by burying trash, filling puddles, stocking ponds with fish, and eliminating locations where water sits on the ground to kill mosquito’s as it may harm the environment. This research study proposes an integrated system which consists of primary and secondary subsystems to prevent and eliminate mosquito populations on water body. The primary system is used to create the ripples across the pond so that larvae of the mosquito’s do not survive. The secondary subsystem is used for trapping of adult mosquitoes with the help of UV light and a DC fan. The proposed solution is able to eliminate mosquitoes through both passive and active methodologies. The combination of these two subsystems is able to kill the mosquitoes both in adult and larvae stage. The proposed system can ensure the maximum level of success for the eradication of mosquitoes as the solution target them at two critical stages of their life cycle.
