Wide-Swath IP-SAR

Cocktail party effect is a fascinating thing about our amazing brains. Inspired by this, a new synthetic aperture radar (SAR) concept is first proposed for wide-swath imaging. Here, it is termed as IP-SAR, because this idea originally comes from voIce-seParation (IP). IP-SAR is a radar system with an array antenna divided into multi-channels along azimuth and/or el-evation directions, and it can image multiple sub-swaths at the same time. In order to verify the wide-swath imaging ability of IP-SAR, scene simulations are conducted, and the gener-ated echoes are processed according to a novel procedure.
