A Compact Broadband Power Amplifier Covering 23-39 GHz for 5G Mobile Communication

This paper presents a two-stage broadband power amplifier (PA) for fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication. For simultaneous broadband performance in small-signal gain, saturated output power $(\mathrm{P}_{\text{sat}})$ and 1-dB compression output power $(P_{\text{laB}})$, a leakage inductor and a shunt capacitor are added in output matching network and a weakly-coupled transformer is adopted in inter-stage matching network.
