Experimental Studies of the Influence of the Composition and Thermophysical Characteristics of Matrix Materials and Thermal Storage Materials on the Properties of a Heat Accumulator

The article considers the influence of the composition and thermophysical characteristics of matrix materials and thermal storage materials on the properties of a heat accumulator. As an object of study, a cylindrical heat accumulator with internal fins was taken. The materials of the matrix and the heat storage substance were studied in order to determine the thermal conductivity, taking into account their interaction when working as part of a thermal accumulator. Various materials of the heat accumulator matrix were studied: aluminum, brass and bronze. The following were used as samples of heat storage materials: Na2SO4 (sodium sulfate); KCl (potassium chloride); LiF (lithium fluoride).
