Classification. integration mode, and typical application of energy storage in power grid

Energy storage technology is widely used and has great potential for social demand, it is a key link in the energy internet. With the progress of battery energy storage industry, battery energy storage technology has gradually emerged alongside integrated and distributed applications. The integration methods of energy storage is the capacity size of the storage system and the transmission method of energy storage. Firstly, the characteristics and demonstration projects of energy storage integration methods are introduced in this paper. Then the planning strategies of energy storage integration methods in power systems are introduced based on their characteristics. Finally, the operation methods of different integration methods of energy storage are summarized from the perspective of power system economy and reliability.
