Strain analysis and carrier mobility evaluation for flexible displays with OTFTs

For studying the effect of strain on the carrier mobility of OTFT flexible displays, the charging time error of the pixel storage capacitor caused by the change of the carrier mobility with the strain is studied for the three deformations of stretching, bending and twisting of the flexible display. Firstly, based on The Working Principle of Capacitor and Ohm's Law, a method is proposed to calculate the charging time error of the pixel storage capacitor. Secondly, the thickness change of the functional backplane of the display after stretching, bending and twisting is obtained by simulating the flexible display with ANSYS. Finally, the effect of strain on the carrier mobility of the flexible display under different working conditions is analyzed by the error calculation method and simulation results.
