Research on the interactive behaviour of pointing devices: Is the Magic Mouse easy to use?

This study focuses on the user's interaction behaviour between the touchpad and Magic Mouse using the macOS system to improve the notebook computer's experience. In task three (Opening Mission Control) performance, it was found that users using the trackpad performed statistically significantly better than those using the Magic Mouse. In addition, according to the NASA-TLX scale results, the touchpad's load value in the “Effort” dimension was significantly smaller than that of the Magic Mouse. In the end, we made four suggestions for the trackpad and Magic Mouse pointing device.
