Reconfigurable Optical Logic Switches Using Microdisk Resonators

In this paper, we present the use of a microdisk to provide scalable and reconfigurable optical logic functions, by introducing an overlay of an optical phase change material. The microdisk switches can be serially-coupled to realize non-volatile switching for wavelength-selective spatial routing.
