A combined Neural Network/3D image analysis approach to defect detection in EBM ALM imaging

Per-layer, in-process imaging can be leveraged to monitor an EBM ALM process for manufacturing defect detection.An early defect detection workflow using a combination of a neural network and cascading 3D imaging processing and analysis algorithms has been devised to prospectively meet the requirement of becoming part of an industrial EBM fabrication process.
