Study on deformation of finger in automated mechanical transmission

In order to improve the reliability and safety of the Automated Mechanical Transmission (AMT), this paper makes a study on the finger deformation in the automated mechanical transmission. Firstly, the three-dimensional model and working principle of the automated mechanical transmission are given. Secondly, based on the three-dimensional model developed, the accurate mathematical expressions of finger deformation on the finger compression deformation, bending deformation and external force are obtained through the mechanical model. Finally, the deformation value of the finger is calculated by expressions and data. After that, the finite element method is used to analyze the finger model, and the numerical results are consistent with the theoretical analysis and calculation results. The model developed in this paper and analysis results provide the theoretical support for the design of automated mechanical transmission.
