Synthesis of the Control Algorithm for the Parallel Voltage Inverter as Part of the Starter Starter-Generator System for Aircraft

The paper presents the simplified equivalent circuit of the starter-generator system for aircraft that operate in the generating electricity mode. In the proposed model the main source of electrical energy is the cycloconverter with natural commutation. The output current of the cycloconverter is the sum of the main harmonic and the higher harmonics. The cycloconverter currents are represented as the ideal current sources. The cycloconverter operates in parallel with the voltage inverter which performs the function of an active filter. The synthesis of control algorithms for voltage inverter in generating electricity mode of the starter-generator system is proposed. The main parameters of the vector control system of the voltage inverter are determined. The analysis was carried out by presenting the system under study in the form of a mathematical model of the voltage inverter and the cycloconverter with natural commutation on a common load. The results of modeling a simplified equivalent circuit with the proposed control algorithms are presented. Signals of the output current and voltage of the system are obtained. The total harmonic distortion of the output current of the system is determined.
