Experimental Substantiation of the Possibility of Ultrasonic Filtration of Process Fluids

The analysis of the requirements for industrial purity and methods of purification from contamination of technological and operational liquids used in production and in various technical systems has been carried out. It is shown that the finest purification is ensured when using various filters, including the membrane type, however, there is a problem of periodic restoration of their throughput. For liquids filtering it is proposed to use the effect of ultrasonic vibrations on a thin layer of liquid passing through an adjustable gap between the housing and the end of the waveguide, which will allow to adjust the fineness of cleaning without stopping the process. The dependence of the flow rate of the filtered liquid on the amplitude of the waveguide oscillations is presented. Experimentally, on the example of industrial water, it was found that when using the proposed scheme, the average particle size in the liquid is reduced by 7-8 times, and their number in the control volume is reduced by almost 3 times.
