A Practical Method for Blind Detection of Centralized Unique Word TDMA Signal

In non-cooperative environments, the performance of burst signal detection is generally poor due to signal parameters being completely unknown as well as a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). In order to improve the result of TDMA burst signal detection in non-cooperative environments, firstly, this paper proposed a unique word sequence extraction method based on time delay conjugate multiplication. Secondly, using data-assisted methods, combined with cumulative spectrum calculation and energy-based pulse detection algorithms, this paper also proposed a complete set of TDMA burst signal detection systems in non-cooperative environments. The feasibility and correctness of the algorithm are verified by the actual satellite signal collected in a low SNR environment.
