Performance Testing of AODV using Channel Fading for MANETs

The Mobile Ad hoc network faces the fundamental limitations on its performance due to mobile radio channels. Since, these networks do not trust on any infrastructure to work, not any centralized control on its operation, rather the node itself coordinates and controls the network in cooperation of other devices. The promptness of signal impacts how swiftly the signal level fades as a node moves in space. The aim of this research is to evaluate the performance of Ad hoc On-Demand distance vector Routing (AODV) protocol for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) with channel fading by use of different scenarios and under the free space, two-ray ground and shadowing propagation models. Here the result of the study indicates discrete results of performance of the network. It shows that the AODV protocol has maintained the routes laboriously in the given environments with severe fading.
