An Automated Self Rating Questionnaire Assessment Tool for the evaluation of Entrepreneurial Competencies using SVM Algorithm

Every career draws on the competencies of an individual. Some competencies may be general and some are specific to career. Competencies refer to abilities and skills. Entrepreneurship is one of the best careers presently expected from the each one of the younger generation of the country. Before choosing the career as entrepreneurship, an individual has to do the self-analysis whether he/she is having the competencies related to entrepreneurship. The competency level is also to be analyzed for further improvement. An automated tool is required for the assessment of self-rating questionnaire to evaluate entrepreneurial competencies. A set of entrepreneurial competencies developed by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmedabad is used in this project for evaluation purpose. The entrepreneurial competencies provide by EDI are evaluated by self-rating questionnaire. An individual‘s score on each of these competencies is evaluated. The term called correction factor is used to determine whether an individual tries to present a very favorable image of him/her. A graphical representation for the strength of each competency is also displayed as a profile sheet. An Automated Self Rating Questionnaire Assessment Tool for the evaluation of Entrepreneurial Competencies using python is developed for the collection of dataset under 13 entrepreneurial competencies. The machine learning model is also generated with the assistance of the Support Vector Machine algorithm. After the completion of the enough training and testing given to the model, the entrepreneurial competency of an individual can be predicted without spending much time in doing calculations and finding the correction factor.
