Compact Power Splitters with Mosaic-based Structure Designed by Bayesian Direct-binary-search Method

We report the first experimental demonstration of compact and low-loss
$1\times 2$
power splitters designed by Bayesian direct-binary-search method with arbitrary splitting ratio, which are comprised of photonic crystal-like mosaic structures on Si-photonic circuits.
