100-Gbit/s, 100-km IM-DD transmission using high-power 4-ch SOA integrated EML (AXEL) TOSA and APD-ROSA

We demonstrate a record 100-km IM-DD transmission with the 100-Gbit/s (4 × 25 Gbit/s) NRZ format. An AXEL-TOSA operating over +12 dBm and APD-based ROSA provides a power budget as high as 37.3 dB.
