A study on Integrated Natural Zoning based on ArcGIS Technology

Natural zoning is a more scientific approach to the study of the physical geography of an area. Such studies are becoming increasingly important as the human demand for natural resource exploitation increases, and integrated natural zoning studies provide a solid basis and scientific solutions for rationalising these processes, allowing humans to develop in harmony with the natural environment and providing for the sustainability of production and construction. This paper describes the comprehensive situation of the study area in terms of physical geographical conditions, human, social and economic aspects, and constructs a comprehensive natural zoning hierarchy and a comprehensive natural zoning indicator system based on zoning principles and methods. The paper finally divides the integrated natural zoning hierarchy of the study area into three levels, and specifies the main zoning indicators. With the support of ArcGIS, the indicator data were processed to contribute new ideas and methods to the research in this field.
