Gender Contrasts in Employer’s Perspectives in the Recruitment of Fresh Engineering Graduates in the Information Technology Sector

The research presents and summarizes the similarities and dissimilarities in recruitment decision making patterns of fresh engineering graduates in the information technology sector of India in the contrast of gender. The present research study has adopted purposive sampling technique; a sample of 368 responding human resource managers was leveraged to identify the gender based differences and comprised 166 male human resource recruiters and 202 women recruiters. The study deployed exploratory factor analysis to compare the recruitment decision making style and respective perceptions about the employer satisfaction. The study concluded that male and female recruiters differ substantially in their approach to recruitment decision making with regard to hiring the talent from engineering institutions.
