Motion control of a electric propulsion observation spacecraft in a irregular gravitational field

The paper describes an approach to solving the problem of motion controlling of an electric propulsion observation spacecraft based on remote estimates and iterative refinement of the gravitational field model of the study object with an irregular structure. The proposed technique was used for preliminary design-ballistic mission synthesis to observe the potentially dangerous asteroid 99942 Apophis for five years from a working orbit with a radius of 90 km. Obtained results can be used for the power plant choosing for deep spacecraft's missions.
