Optimization Algorithms for Efficient Workflow Scheduling in IaaS Cloud

Cloud computing is a novel way of delivering resources over the Internet. Cloud computing, albeit a newer computer paradigm, has many obsolete predecessors. In addition, it is so popular that it doesn't need taxonomies to define. Our early study looked at the origins of cloud computing and their significance to cloud services. Many applications in research and industry have made workflow scheduling in cloud computing popular. Several articles have proposed using the heuristics method to account for energy savings, cost, and makespan. However, most heuristics or hybrids methodology does not provide near-optimal solutions. Therefore, we examine the limitations and potential advancements of cloud computing workflow scheduling technologies. The objective is to develop time and cost-efficient heuristic and hybrid workflow scheduling methods. Finally, we discuss and propose strategies to overcome impediments to the growth, application, and development of cloud computing.
