Modeling and Analysis of Organic Solar Cells Using Multiple Diodes

Organic PV cells have been the center of interest in recent years because of the benefits of having customized molecular characteristics and cost-effective manufacturing techniques. Precise simulation of organic photovoltaic cells has become increasingly crucial as rigorous and quick research is applied to organic photovoltaic cells. In this paper, various models to simulate an organic solar photovoltaic cell are being discussed. The modeling is done through integral circuit equations, unlike any other complicated mathematical model accessible in the literature. These models can also simulate the ideal and non-ideal current-voltage characteristics of an organic solar PV cell. The primary goal is research towards investigating the performance of organic solar cells and developing a precise PV model that can accurately recreate the I-V characteristics. A comparative study of the different diode models is also included.
