A new method of active power filter using dead beat control and repeated control

A new control method using the deadbeat control and the repetitive control for the line current detection type active filter is proposed. Aiming at the periodicity of the harmonics, the repetitive control is applied to the harmonics compensation control and the deadbeat control is applied to the current regulator. The time leading is introduced to compensate a time delay due to the deadbeat control and a low pass filter. Performance of the harmonics compensation by the proposed scheme is much better improved than the conventional proportional control. In this paper, the theoretical analysis of the control strategy is given, and the superiority and accuracy of active filter using the beat free control and repetitive control are verified by simulation and experiment. The results show that this method has high application value.
