Research on New Design and Analysis of Stator Tooth Splicing Structure Using Anisotropic Electrical Steel in an Electric Machine

In response to the design requirements of electric vehicles for high torque density and high-power density of traction motors, based on finite element simulation, the splicing research of anisotropic electrical steel (AES) and isotropic electrical steel (IES) in motor stator is analyzed. Firstly, the material properties of AES are studied to provide theoretical guidance for motor design. Secondly, the influence of different splicing schemes of AES on the motor is compared and analyzed. Finally, the influence of splicing structure on the performance of motor core is analyzed and measured. The results obtained in this research indicate the splicing structure will reduce the magnetic properties of the stator core in the test, but the simulation analysis shows that the torque of the circular splicing structure is increased by 1% and the iron loss is reduced by 35.6% compared with IES motor.
