Research on the impact of graphite fiber attached insulator

Insulator is an important electrical equipment in power transmission and transformation lines.During long-term operation, abnormal surface violations such as pollution, bird damage, ice and snow, foreign matter adhesion and so on may occur. Among them, graphite fiber is one of the foreign matters attached to the insulator surface, which will cause great damage to the normal operation of the insulator. In this paper, the finite element three-dimensional simulation models of disc suspension porcelain insulator and rod suspension composite insulator are established. Under the thermoelectric coupling of multiple physical fields, the electric field and temperature distribution of insulator are calculated.The influence of the attachment mode and location of graphite fiber on the electric field distribution of insulator is analyzed, which provides reference for insulator operation and maintenance.
