LADRC-based DC Bus Voltage Control for Single-phase Boost PFC

As a front-end AC/DC converter, the power factor correction (PFC) circuit is widely applied in electric vehicles, microgrids, and other fields. Single-phase Boost PFC has become the most commonly used topology in medium power applications, which has the advantages of continuous input current, simple switching tube drive, small conduction loss, etc. To improve Boost PFC's robustness and anti-interference capability, a voltage outer loop control method based on Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Control (LADRC) is proposed. The optimized tracking performance even in the presence of disturbances and uncertainties by properly choosing the observer bandwidth factor is achieved. Simulation results show that compared with traditional PI control approaches, the proposed control method is characterized by improved robustness performance against various disturbances and uncertainties have better disturbance rejection and robustness.
