Abstract:
A medical clinic is one of the important healthcare infrastructures that provides outpatient services. Oftentimes, a clinic is overcrowded during peak times. This causes a problem since clinics tend to have a limited number of staff, which is even more problematic during a pandemic. Based on the preliminary interview, the common problems in managing a clinic include the difficulties of arranging an appointment with patients, keeping the prescription data, and managing payments. Based on these problems, in this study, a Clinic Management System (CMAS) mobile application was developed using Agile methodology with Mobile-D approach. The CMAS app was designed to be easy to use in clinics with limited resources when compared to hospitals. The application has admin (clinic staff) and patient privileges. The patients can log in, register, make a clinic appointment, view prescriptions, and make a cashless payment using the Stripe payment gateway. The admin can manage and accept the appointments, manage medical prescriptions, and verify payments, including viewing invoices. A user acceptance test (UAT) was conducted to test the application, which was filled out by nurses, doctors, and some patients in the clinic. An overall score of 82.7 out of 100 was obtained from the UAT.
