A Detection Approach of Bridge Fault Number for Optical Router

With the breakthrough of silicon photonic technology, Photonic Network-on-Chip (PNoC) has better performance than traditional Network-on-Chip. Micro Ring Resonators (MRRs)are the key components of optical router in PNoC. Due to temperature fluctuation or manufacturing defects, MRRs are prone to shift the resonant wavelength, which leads to bridge fault. Therefore, the reliability of PNoC is sharply decreased. In this paper, the MRR bridge fault model is established firstly, and then a detection approach of bridge fault number for optical router is proposed. The experimental results show that the proposed method is effective.
