A FlexE-based Flexible Bandwidth Slicing and Scheduling Model for the Energy Internet

The Energy Internet is one of the most promising development domain since it is able to integrate more power from various sources and distributed position, such as solar panels on residential roofs, wind turbines on grasslands or mountains and hydroelectric generator at the falls, etc. At the same time, the Energy Internet has gained attentions from leading countries. The FlexE technologies have made significant progresses on communication channels construction. It builds a middle channel between MAC and PCS to improve communication performance. Based on the FlexE, this paper further proposes a bandwidth slicing model and scheduling mechanism to reduce the transmission delay in the Energy Internet. To be specific, the paper makes consideration of some arresting characteristic and performance requirements for practical businesses, and further proposes a clock synchronization mechanism for bandwidth slicing. To support more businesses, a new business container consideration solution is supported by the model as well. At the same time, a bandwidth slicing scheduling mechanism is proposed, which gives the scheduling solution by computing routing trajectories and aligning free time-slot. The experiment demonstrates the efficiency of our model.
